Insurance Advisor
Overall purpose of this role
- You’ll join a team of experienced Advisors who sell a whole range of insurance products by providing friendly, informative advice from a wide choice of insurers. In addition to receiving full product and sales training, you’ll also be given continued support and development.
Key accountabilities
- Maintain an excellent standard of customer service by explaining choices and providing recommendations ensuring customer and business needs are met.
- Achieve all agreed sales for personal lines insurance products and ensure systems and procedures are properly maintained.
- Ensure all sales are undertaken in accordance with the Company’s compliant processes.
- Prioritise your workload by planning and focusing your tasks.
- You may be required to manage activities in the absence of the Manager.
Education / qualifications
- Good general education, qualifications ideally include English and Maths GCSE.
The work experience you’ll need
- Trainee Advisor – you’ll ideally have experience in a sales or customer service environment.
- Insurance Advisor – you’ll have around 6-12 months’ experience within insurance, preferably brokerage or call centre environment.
- Senior Insurance Advisor – with more than 12 months’ experience within insurance, preferably brokerage or call centre environment.
- Consideration will be given to candidates with a sales or customer service background and we’ll give you the opportunity to develop your skills even further, by completing a personalised in-house training programme.

- Confidence to present complex information in clear, simple terms and the ability to work on your own initiative and be a real team player.
- You’ll need above average numeracy and literacy, along with good keyboard skills.
- Smart appearance.
- As a Senior Insurance Advisor you’ll share your knowledge and skills with the team through coaching and mentoring. You’ll also have the ability to lead the team and delegate tasks.

Terms and conditions
- A flexible working week of 37½ hours, including Saturdays on a rota basis and extended trading hours, when applicable
