Outbound Sales Advisor

 

Overall purpose of this role

  • Working within the Outbound team your role will be to focus on providing an exemplary sales service following up leads and product enquiries. You will be professionally sales focussed in order to achieve demanding but achievable sales/retention targets, build profitable case count growth and generate premium income to agreed targets in line with the business plan. You will effectively balance the need for sustained profitable case count growth with the requirement for high standards of customer service. Promote Swinton Colonnade & its4me at every opportunity and enhance awareness of the Swinton Colonnade & Its4me brand.

Key accountabilities

 

  • Achieve agreed sales targets and also ensure systems and procedures are properly maintained.
  • Ensure all sales are undertaken in accordance with the company's compliant processes.
  • Maintain an excellent standard of customer service by explaining choices and providing recommendations ensuring customer and business needs are met.
  • Produce clear and concise written correspondence and prioritise your workload by planning and focusing your tasks.

Education / qualifications

 

  • Good general education, qualifications ideally include English and Maths GCSE.

 

The work experience you'll need

 

  • You will ideally have 1 - 2 years sales experience gained within a financial services operation, preferably in an outbound sales environment.

  • Persuasiveness - can employ different  techniques and adjust style as appropriate in order to influence a decision through effective communication whilst putting the customer first.
  • Initiative - demonstrates a tenacity and willingness to take ownership of issues and possesses the analytical skills to understand "the detail" associated with these through to a satisfactory resolution.
  • Communication and Influencing professional in both formal and informal business contexts. Clear and structured in written communications with the appropriate level of detail for the audience. Confident and assertive manner in verbal communications. 
  • Customer Focus delivering timely contact with all customers ensuring exemplary customer service standards are maintained at all times with the ability to build rapport with customers. 
  • Team Working working together with colleagues to achieve team targets as well as supporting others and sharing best practice.

Terms and conditions

 

  • Various shift patterns available to cover operational hours full time equates to 37.5 hours per week.
  • 20 days holiday (or part time equivalent).
